Jobs
We have teamed up with the Hartford XL Center, they like our training. During the interview process make sure to mention that you received your Guard Card from Security Training Academy. To find out who else is hiring, just simply go to your favorite job search engine such as careerbuilder, indeed, and etc... You will locate hundreds of security jobs. Salaries range from the CT State minimum of $10.10hr to $22hr, for unarmed officers. These jobs are updated on a regular basis. The need is there, all you have to do is apply.
We are centrally located.
All classes are held at 79 State St. North Haven, super close to I91 and RT-15, only 30 minutes from Hartford and Bridgeport. We have the nicest facility in CT. The shooting portion of the Pistol Course is held at Delta Arsenal, 342 Quinnipiac St, Wallingford, CT.
Our Services

For your convenience and ours you must register on this website and pay through PayPal. *You don't need a PayPal account, just some form of debit or credit card.* The Guard Card course is tax deductible. We do offer a Veteran discount of 10%, call for details.
Please note: All Courses you must be 18 years or older to attend. Must have no felony convictions. All active duty Military, Veterans (with less than 2 years break in service), and retired Law Enforcement please contact the State Police Special Licensing & Firearms Unit (860) 685-8290, you may not have to take this course.

Guard Card
Price: $99
Training Time: 8 Hours
This class fulfills the state of Connecticut's requirement of attending an 8 HR Criminal Justice course prior to you becoming a security guard. In this class, you will be trained by the best in the industry.
Pistol Permit Class
Price: $139
CT Pistol Permit Class (NRA Basic Pistol Course). This course fulfills the required training for your pistol permit. Must be 18 years of age to train. However, you are not eligiable for a CT Pistol Permit until 21 years of age.
